Three RTPS units resume power generation

Power generation was resumed at three units in Raichur Thermal Power Station on Wednesday.

Production was temporarily suspended at the three units following a dip in the demand.

Power generation has been started at the eighth unit with an installed capacity of 250 MW, and the third and the fourth units, which have the capacity to generate 210 MW each, RTPS officials said. The thermal station with a total installed capacity of 1,720 MW, is currently generating 650 MW. Similarly, the second unit of Yeramuras Thermal Power Station, which has an installed capacity of 800 MW, has resumed generating power.
