Ratan Kelkar, mission director, National Health Mission (NHM) who is stationed in rain-ravaged Kodagu to supervise flood relief works, said that more than physical healthcare, the flood victims need counselling. "They are psychologically affected," Kelkar added.
The Health department and Rotary Club, have organised film shows to relieve the flood victims' distress. Children are engaged in games and fun activities.
Group counselling sessions are being conducted by the psychiatrists of Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
