Truck driver charred to death after collision

The driver of a chocolate-laden truck was charred to death in a fire that engulfed the vehicle after a collision with another truck at Gogte Circle on the Belagavi-Khanapur Road in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Mohammad Rafique Khalil of Tilak Nagar in Uttar Pradesh is deceased.The accident occurred when Khalil drove his truck (bearing Nagaland registration) to the rear end of a heavy vehicle. The crash triggered a fire in the engine of the truck. The fire soon engulfed the cabin, killing the driver on the spot.
