I will discuss with my parents and well-wishers before taking a final call,” Niranjan Prasad revealed.

Sharing his joy further Niranjan explained, “Economics is one of my interest subjects and I have been observing the development of Indian economy meticulously for some time. I want to contribute to the country’s economy in a big way and I would work in that direction.” Niranjan attributed his success to his parents and said that his discussions with father who is also an economist helped him a lot. Niranjan obtained his basic education at Little Rock Indian School in Brahmava, Udupi district.

Taking pride in his son’s achievement at the national level, Niranjan’s father Jayadev Prasad Moleyar said that he had been at the top in several talent search exams in the past too. “He had previously secured top rank in the National Talent Search exam. He had secured 23rd rank in CET, and 13th Rank in the Manipal University exams,” Prof Moleyar revealed. “He was not studying too much but had rapt attention towards what he was studying. He used to get excited about logic science, communication, management and economics. I feel that he would definitely emerge as a top economist,” he added.

According to parents, Niranjan did not avail any special coaching for the CAT exam. “It was his first attempt. He has a special interest in Data Science. Unfortunately, we do not have special courses in any of the Indian institutes and he is considering pursuing a course in the US. Hopefully, he will get admission in IIM-Ahmedabad where I too had studied three decades ago,” Prof Moleyar revealed.
