Chincholi MLA Umesh Jadhav (Congress), who is seeking legal advice, is likely to tender his resignation from the membership of Legislative Assembly in a day or two, Ramachandra Jadhav, his elder brother, said.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said that Umesh seems to have gone to such level that he cannot come back to the Congress. After tendering resignation, he is likely to contest from Gulbarga Lok Sabha constituency in the coming Lok Sabha election. If he contests, Umesh will definitely win the election, he predicted.

Ramachandra said the MLA is upset over the stoppage of development works in Chincholi Assembly segment. Umesh has nothing to do with the rumour doing rounds about the toppling of the coalition government. He is quitting the Congress for other reasons and will submit his papers in two days, Ramachandra explained.

He said the MLA is in Bengaluru will take his next move on the directions of legal experts. “He will take part in Sevalal Jayanti programme to be organised in Kalaburagi on February 15 and may resign before or after the Jayanti,” he added.
