A faux pas by the Karnataka Congress social media team provided ammunition for their opponents BJP to poke fun at them, on Thursday.
The error was in a tweet posted by @INCKarnataka at around 1 pm, which read: "The Idea of India endowed with -Love -Communal Harmony -Development - Unity - Dignity of People. Lets take a oath to protect plurality, Right to freedom and Right to Equality"
The tweet was followed by three hashtags #MyFirstVoteForModi, #CongressForTrust and #VoteForIndia.
This was soon spotted by the BJP IT cell, which took screenshots and shared it on social media platforms."That moment when even your opposition starts trending #MyFirstVoteForModi Congressmen & Rahul Gandhi are so obsessed with @narendramodi. At this rate don't be surprised if they end up voting for Modi ji #VoteForBJP #NamoForNewIndia".
Karnataka Congress was quick in deleting #MyFirstVoteForModi from the tweet. After deleting the original tweet in minutes, the content of the tweet was posted again after a while with the hashtags #CongressForTrust, #VoteForIndia and #MyVoteForCongress
