Chief Minister-designate H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday morning said that he will not be the only one taking oath at the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru this morning, Kumaraswamy indicated that a few other MLAs, including those from the Congress, will take oath along with him.

He said that the details would be finalised after his conversation with Congress leaders including K C Venugopal and Siddaramaiah this evening.

Kumaraswamy is scheduled to take oath as Karnataka's next Chief Minister in front of Vidhana Soudha at 4.30 pm on Wednesday.

Speaking to media at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, JD(S) chief clarified that no minister's name is finalised yet and ruled out the rumours doing round in the media regarding the same.

Kumaraswamy further said he is committed for the 'welfare of the farmers' of the state. "I have prayed to the Lord to bestow prosperity on the state," Kumaraswamy said.

"There is no such thing called an illicit coalition. Congress and JDS have come together to form the government as per the constitutional provision," he said.

As part of his continued temple run, Kumaraswamy is visiting the pilgrimage centres in Dharmasthala and Sringeri today.

Later his parents H D Deve Gowda and Channamma will join with Kumaraswamy and his wife Anita at the Sharadamba temple at Sringeri.
