Apple Arcade launches SpongeBob SquarePants crossover events

Apple Arcade, which made its debut in 2019, is now home to more than 250 popular gaming titles, including FIFA, NBA, and more.

It has several classic titles with exclusive content, including Angry Birds, Jetpack Joyride+, Fruit Ninja Classic+, Cut the Rope Remastered, Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure, Doodle God Universe and more.

To further enhance the user experience on Apple Arcade, the company has announced a SpongeBob SquarePants crossover event, where the characters of the latter will appear in two popular games, Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle.

SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Plankton-inspired characters will be available for users to play on Snake.io+ for up to August 25.

Even Crossy Road Castle, the popular party game, is launching a fun update on August 4 that will have players racing through 40 bikini bottom-themed levels as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, or Sandy.

The players have to catch the Krabby Patties and avoid getting bitten by jellyfish. The special SpongeBob crossover feature will conclude on August 17.

Previously, Bluey characters from Australian animated series appeared in Fruit Ninja Classic+ and Paddington, another beloved animated bear character appeared in Crayola Create and Play+ on Apple Arcade.

In a related development, four new gaming titles, including Play-Doh World, Worms Across Worlds, Let’s Go Mightycat!, and Everybody Shogi, are set to make their debut on Apple Arcade next month.

In India, Apple Arcade for individual customers is available for Rs 99 per month with a one-month free trial. Customers who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV receive three months of Apple Arcade for free.
