Apple to host 2025 edition of WWDC in June

Apple will offer a sneak peek at the latest developments in the company's software for its ecosystem of devices such as iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, Apple Watch series, Apple TV, wearables, and more.

American technology giant Apple has announced that it will host the annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June.

The five-day WWDC 2025 edition is scheduled to kick off on June 9 and conclude on June 13. Top executives, including CEO Tim Cook and others, will give a keynote presentation on the latest developments in the company's software for its ecosystem of devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, Apple Watch series, Apple TV, wearables, and more.

“We’re excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community. We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.

Apple WWDC 2025: Here's what to expect

The Cupertino-based company is expected to offer a sneak peek at the all-new iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, tvOS 19, watchOS 12, visionOS and more.

Reports have indicated that Apple will be bringing big changes to the iOS user interface to make it more refreshing and improve the performance of the devices.

Also, more user privacy security updates will be introduced to protect the devices against new emerging cyber threats.

At the WWDC event, registered developers will be able to meet Apple experts in-person and also get to experience new app developer kits to improve their applications.

Also, they will be able to develop more useful features for the devices when they receive the new Apple software updates. Like in previous years, it will be rolled out in September or before the end of October.

Swift Student Challenge winners will also have the opportunity to meet Apple experts at WWDC 2025. The winning contestants will be notified this week, from March 27.

They will be eligible to apply for the special event at Apple Park. In addition, the top 50 distinguished winners, who are recognised for outstanding submissions, will be invited to Cupertino, California, for a three-day experiential tour of Apple's office and also get a chance to meet Tim Cook.
