Vivo teases V60 series Android phone, set for launch next month in India

Earlier this year, in February, Vivo launched the V50 series with good upgrades in India, and now, the company has announced that bring the all-new V60 series next month.

Vivo took to the X platform to reveal the first look at the upcoming Android phone. In the teaser, the device is shown to have a refined design compared to the predecessor.

It has a big ZEISS camera capsule with dual sensors at the back, with a standalone camera sensor and LED flash on the side. It will come with special ZEISS Portrait camera mode features for the Indian market.

The new Vivo V60 sports a curved display with thin bezel and is touted to be the slimmest phone in its class with a 6,500mAh battery.

Vivo has also revealed that the new Android phone will be available in three colours-- auspicious gold, moonlit blue and mist grey.

As per the latest reports, Vivo is expected to come with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 silicon. It is a 4nm class chipset with a 64-bit architecture. It has one prime core (with up to 2.8 GHz), four performance cores (up to 2.4 GHz speed), and three efficiency cores (up to 1.8 GHz). It can improve CPU performance by up to 27 per cent over its predecessor.

With the latest Adreno GPU, it promises to deliver up to 30 per cent improved performance in terms of graphics processing. And, with the new Hexagon Neural Processing Unit, it promises to deliver up to 65 per cent improved performance.

With a 6,500mAh battery, it will support 90W charging speed. The device will come with an IP68+IP69 rating, meaning it can survive a drop in the swimming pool for up to 1.5 metres (around five feet) for close to 30 minutes. Also, it can withstand high-pressure water jets up to 80 bar.

Vivo's new Android phone is expected to launch in the second week of August. More details will be revealed as we get closer to the D-day.
