Samsung to host 'The First Look' event ahead of CES 2026

After launching the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone, consumer electronics major Samsung has announced to host a new hardware launch event early next month, ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES, Jan 6-9) 2026, Las Vegas.

Samsung is scheduled to host 'The First Look' on January 4 at 7:00 PM PST (8:30 am IST, January 5), 2026, in the Latour Ballroom at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The event will be streamed live on the official Samsung newsroom website, Samsung Electronics’ official YouTube channel and as well as Samsung TV Plus, the company’s FAST (free, ad-supported TV streaming) service as well.

The teaser doesn't give away any clear evidence of a product, but Samsung has confirmed that the company will reveal its vision for the DX (Device eXperience) and improvements it plans to bring with new AI-driven customer experiences.

Top executives, including TM Roh, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX) division, will be the keynote speakers for The First Look. Also, SW Yong, president and head of the visual display business, and Cheolgi Kim, executive vice president and head of the digital appliances business, will grace the event in California.

In a related development, recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is slated to hit stores first in South Korea for KRW 3,590,400 (approx. Rs 2,19,675) on December 12, and later it will be made available in select global markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and the US.

As of now, there is no official word on when Samsung plans to bring the Galaxy Z TriFold to India.
