Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad on May 18 informed that a total of 2,79,581 samples have been tested in the state yesterday. He said that UP has become the first state in the country to test over 4.5 crore Covid-19 samples. The state has conducted a total of 4,52,21,090 test to date, he said. Prasad emphasized that the state is increasing its Covid-19 samples testing capacity and the active cases in the state are decreasing.
