Water levels in Ganga rise after heavy rains

Several steps of Dashashwamedh Ghat and other ghats are flooded following an increase in the Ganga river water levels. The rise in the Ganges continues for the sixth consecutive day in Varanasi. Over the last 24 hours, the river Ganga’s water level has risen about 2.09 metres. Holy city Varanasi recorded a 62.52-metre water level on July 30. The river is flowing at 63.08 metres.
