Number of Indian students choosing US for higher education increases by 19 pc over last year

Labelling it as a reason that will further strengthen India-US relations, US Embassy Public Diplomacy Counselor for Cultural and Educational Affairs Anthony Miranda on November 14 expressed happiness over the increase in the number of Indian students choosing US for higher education by 19 per cent over last year.

“We're delighted to see 19 per cent increase in Indian students choosing US for higher education over last year. This is a real testament to value that Indian students see in US education,” the Public Diplomacy Counselor said.

“We're concerned with safety of our students, whether American or foreign students. Universities take security seriously. Students can always alert authorities if there is anything wrong or suspicious,” he added.
