Two of Karnataka's most neglected regions, Kalaburagi and Yadgir, managed to beat back Covid-19 twice. In retrospect, it's easy to ask why the state wasn't prepared for the influx from across the border, from the neighbouring state of Maharashtra. But is the government doing enough to deal with the unemployment and the possibility of hunger that the region is up against?
