Actors Darshan, Devaraj, Prajwal injured in accident

Sandalwood actors Darshan Thoogudeepa, Devaraj and his son Prajwal Devaraj were injured as the SUV in which they were travelling met with an accident on the Ring Road near JSS Urban Haat in Mysuru early on Monday. However, the doctor treating them said all the three are out of danger.

According to reports, the SUV rammed against the divider at 3 am, when the actors were bound for Bengaluru from Mysuru after celebrating Devaraj's birthday. Locals shifted the injured to Columbia Asia Hospital here.

Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi said the actor is fine and is recovering. Darshan suffered a fracture in his right forearm and was operated on. Later, he was shifted to a special ward.

Dr Umesh Shenoy said Devraj and Prajwal sustained minor injuries. "All the injured are out of danger and they need a few days' rest. Devaraj sustained injuries on the fingers of his left hand and a minor operation was performed on him," he said. Several Sandalwood actors and Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh visited the hospital and inquired about the health of the actors.

Police registered a case. After the accident, the damaged vehicle was shifted hidden in a farmhouse in a village in Srirangapatna. But since a case was registered, it was brought to the police station.
