Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday offered to address the woes of Congress legislators and even offered to attend the Congress legislature party (CLP) meeting if required.

A section of Congress legislators is unhappy that development issues pertaining to their constituencies, among others, placed before Kumaraswamy were being left unattended. There is another group which has expressed displeasure openly on the delay in expansion of the Cabinet.

On Friday, some legislators had even planned to shift to Mumbai if the Cabinet is not expanded before the winter session of the state legislature in Belagavi scheduled to commence on December 10.

“I are ready to listen to and address all grievances (of Congress legislators). I am even willing to attend the CLP meeting. I have spoken to CLP leader Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao in this regard,” Kumaraswamy told reporters here. The CLP meeting is likely to be held on December 8. Ahead of the CLP, the coordination and monitoring committee of the coalition government will be held on December 5.

On their part, senior Congress leaders, including Siddaramaiah, G Parameshwara and Mallikarjuna Kharge are likely to meet the party high command in the coming days to discuss expansion of the Cabinet.
