He said that to give an alternative to the Congress and the BJP, the Saffron Front will be launched soon after the last date to file nominations. The elections are contested on the basis of money. It is difficult to a field a candidate who will uphold the principles of truth and justice.

On the division of votes with the Hindu Mahasabha contesting, he said the Hindu Mahasabha had not contested the elections all these years for the same reason. For the first time, a CM was imprisoned on charge of corruption during the BJP tenure. Yet, B S Yeddyurappa has been chosen as a chief ministerial candidate.

Candidate Dharmendra said, if elected, the Mahasabha will form a special police force to protect the women in the state.

He said that the Mahasabha had sought the cap as a symbol from the Election Commission.
