<p>There were around 20 stalls put up by the students. On sale were Kanchivaram silk saris, various other outfits and accessories. There were also stalls for applying mehendi and tattooing. The chaat corners were also quite popular. The entire conceptualisation was done by the students who had outlined a marketing plan, decided on their pricing strategy, prepared promotional aspects like boards and catchy names for their shops. <br /><br />They even decided on products to be sold and arranged the products. Some of them bought the products from markets and sold it for higher prices keeping a profit margin. A few of them made the products on their own. All the students kept track of the sales, which gave them a hands-on experience about the marketing field.<br /><br />A stall by Ashar, Vikram Singh, Prithvi, Utsav and Raju Rai sold payasam made using milk, rice and dry fruits. A team comprising Sarthak, Mahendra, Mithun and Shishir had put up a gaming shop called ‘MMS Fun Corner’ where they had many gaming facilities. They also gave away the gift coupons of ‘Cafe Pascucci’ to the lucky winners. <br /><br />Muralikrishna, a BBM student, had come with a vibrant collection of hand-woven Kanchivaram saris. “In the first hour, we were able to sell as many as seven saris. Our major patrons were faculty members. Our college has more female faculty members than male. So, this has become an added advantage for us,” said Muralikrishna. <br /><br />Amit Raj’s ‘Juice Corner’ sold Arabian pulpy grape juice, which had many takers. The ‘Snack Bar N Fun’, a chaat corner by Sapna, Faraha, Rashmi, Jyothsna and Chaitra did a brisk business by selling panipuri, samosa and kachori. ‘Rafflesia Multiple Store’, had many items like mehendi application and nail art along with clutches, gulab jamun and fruit salad. ‘Maloos-The Taste of Kerala’, a shop by the students from Kerala, had delicious Kerala cuisine to offer. The nail art shops were quite an attraction and many girls and faculty members thronged these stalls to get thier nails beautified.</p>
