Let's take a coffee break

You’ve probably heard this before — when you’re working in the entertainment industry, the concept of weekends doesn’t really exist. But there are some magical days that you get which end up being the weekend and you start feeling normal.

Shooting and being on the sets take up a lot of your time. So when the director finally tells you that you don’t have to come in the next day, you breathe a sigh of relief.

When I am not working, I enjoy going for movies with my friends and family. Meeting my childhood friends is one of my favourite activities. My close friends are not from the industry, so it does become difficult to meet them.

I’m not a fan of clubbing since you tend to get caught in traffic most of the time. It is too noisy and is an unwanted expenditure too. We have a bachelor friend at whose house we hang out at.

Our plans are spontaneous as the planned ones never work out. We usually stay back at home and party and if we still have energy left, go out.

I am a biking enthusiast. In fact, I was even planning to invest in a new motorbike but I’m waiting till the Monsoon is over.

I love going on long rides, it‘s the perfect mode of transport if you’re living in Mumbai. If my friends are also free, we usually drive down to Lonavla or Alibag.

If that plan doesn’t work out, I usually stay back at home, spend time with my family and then head over to the gym.

I am very strict about my workout schedule. I never miss a day; I even go the gym after my shoot. Which is probably why I never sleep early.

If I am at home, my mother prepares some of my favourite dishes. I just laze around at home watching television shows.

As far my cooking skills are concerned, it is limited to making omelettes and scrambled eggs.

I prefer home-cooked food over anything else; in fact, I carry my lunch to work every day. That doesn’t mean that I don’t eat out at all — I can’t punish my body like that! I love my sizzlers — I have to have it at least once in 10 days.

I also enjoy my healthy dose of burgers, tea and coffee as well.

I do like binge eating once in a while. Now that I think about it, whenever I eat, I eat like there’s no tomorrow.

Like I said before, it‘s hard to find time to find time for leisure activities. My work keeps me so busy that I honestly don’t know when my next off is. If we do have a bank of episodes, things are a little less hectic. The last time I went on a long leave was when I had viral fever. As today is ‘Ganesha Chaturthi’ and I have a holiday, I am going to consider it as my weekend and relax.

Going out today is not a good idea as it is going to be crowded and with the Metro work going on, things are going to be chaotic.

I consider a weekend to be perfect when it is spent with family and friends.
If I get two days off, I’d like to spend one with my close ones and one with myself.

I would like to go on a drive and refresh my mind before the hectic week takes a toll on me.
