The unity of Opposition parties would be seen at the multi-party 'Save Constitution' march on January 26 coinciding with Republic Day.

The march would start from Gateway of India and conclude at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai.

Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) founder and president Raju Shetti, who is the chief convenor of the "Samvidhan Bachao" rally, is speaking to leaders across political spectrum to bring them under one umbrella.

The leaders who are expected to attend the rally include Maharashtra Congress president Ashok Chavan, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, National Conference leader Dr Farooq Abdullah, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury,  JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, newly elected Gujarat MLAs Alpesh Thakor and Jignesh Mevani, and Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel.

"This is going to be one of the significant events in contemporary politics when various Opposition parties would be seen together," said a political observer.
