Rare works preserved and handed over to Kollur temple administration

Some of the rare works in the possession of Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple were handed over to the temple administration after preserving the works at Sri Manjunatheshwara Samskruthi Samshodhana Pratishthana of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.

The rare works were treated with preservative methods, as per the request by the Kollur temple administration.

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerandra Heggade handed over the works to the temple committee members, at a programme organised at Heggade's residence, in Dharmasthala, on Monday.

About 60 manuscripts, including 'Balagraha Chikitse', 'Geeta Shastrartha Sangraha', 'Udayaraga', 'Vachana Sangraha' in Kannada and Tulu scripts were among the works.

Pratishthana Director Dr S R Vighnaraj headed the work on the preservation of manuscripts.

Kollur Mookambika Temple Executive Officer J CJanardan was present.
