Body of farmer found

The body of a farmer who was feared drowned at Nemmar was found near a hanging bridge on Saturday.

It is suspected that he must have slipped and fallen into the river on Thursday.

The NDRF personnel had searched for the body on Friday and continued the search operation on Saturday.

The body was handed over to the family after conducting the post-mortem.

MLA T D Raje Gowda visited the family members and promised compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family.
