<p>Chinese smartphone brand Realme on Wednesday said it has clocked 20 per cent growth in sales this festive season, selling 8.3 million smartphones in the country.</p>.<p>Realme, which ranks fourth in the Indian smartphone market, said it has become the fastest brand globally to reach 50 million sales.</p>.<p>Of this, 30 million units were sold in India, a statement said.</p>.<p>Realme sold 8.3 million units during this year's festive season (about 45 days) with 20 per cent growth compared to the festive season last year, it added.</p>.<p>"We are overwhelmed to see the adoption of Realme products at such a fast pace. Realme offers the most blockbuster products which are high on features, style, and performance and is available across price segments," Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said.</p>.<p>According to Counterpoint Research, Realme had a 15 per cent market share in the September quarter, ranking fourth in the top 5 tally. Samsung led the charts with 24 per cent share followed by Xiaomi (23 per cent) and Vivo (16 per cent) share in the quarter under review.</p>.<p>India’s smartphone shipments grew 9 per cent year-on-year to reach over 53 million units in the third quarter of 2020 - the highest-ever shipment in a quarter for the Indian smartphone market, as per the report.</p>
