Russian court fines Zoom for violating data storage law

A Russian court on Thursday fined Zoom Video Communications 15 million roubles ($154,560) for what it said was a repeated failure to localise data in accordance with Russian law, the Interfax news agency reported.

Moscow has clashed with foreign technology companies over content, censorship, data and local representation in a simmering dispute that intensified after Russia sent its armed forces into Ukraine in February 2022.
