Homegrown carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra on Monday launched their much anticipated Marazzo in their Nashik plant.
Addressing the event, Anand Mahindra, executive chairman Mahindra group said, "It took 4 years for us to come up with the product. We are overwhelmed with the response that already Marazzo has got. I am sure this is going to create a bench and its own segment in the Indian market, which our old offerings Scorpio and XUV 5OO did."
The company's third-largest passenger vehicle, Marazzo will take on the bunch of compact SUVs, which are already on Indian roads. Marazzo is based on a monocoque platform.
Claimed to be inspired from shark, the carmakers have designed some features of the car. A shark's teeth like front grille, a tail lamp and a roof-mounted antenna are some features that prove the inspiration of shark.
