Kashmiri student tops civil engg course at NMIT

A student from Jammu and Kashmir has topped the final-year civil engineering course at the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) here.

Zahir Hussain, a beneficiary of the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), meant exclusively for Jammu and Kashmir students, received many prizes and awards for academic excellence, the college said in a press release.

N R Shetty, Chancellor, Central University of Karnataka, honoured Hussain with various awards and cash prize during the farewell event on Saturday.
