JOIN USA 26-year-old railway attendant on Monday night died of injuries he had suffered in a train accident under City Railway police limits.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar, a resident of Magadi Road and a native of Chikmagalur.
Kumar was hit by a bogie of Rajdhani Express while he was crossing the railway track. He suffered grievous injuries and was taken to the nearby Railway Hospital and was admitted to a private hospital for further treatment where he died on Monday night, police said.
Protest staged
Meanwhile, some members of the Railway Employees’ Union alleged that the doctors at the Railway Hospital did not treat Kumar properly, and staged a dharna in front of the hospital demanding action against the doctors.
Railway police have registered a case.
