Railway security helpline number 182 has been made operational for providing security-related help to passengers across all railway jurisdictions.

The emergency number can be dialled from any landline or mobile number. The complaint will be received at the concerned or nearest divisional security control room.
Twitter account @rpfswr is also in operation for the passengers who need security-related assistance.

An Android app known as ‘SWR Security App’ has been developed by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to help passengers in need of security help. It can be downloaded from the Google playstore. The app has six basic functions - report a crime, lodge a complaint, passenger feedback, security helpline, contact emergency assistance and useful information.

The helpline can be accessed any time, even offline after downloading the app. An exclusive mobile helpline number - 09731666725 - is also operational in the South Western Railway for the security of female passengers.

Integrated Security System (ISS) has been commissioned at the KSR (Bengaluru), Yeshwantpur and Mysuru stations of the South Western Railway.
