Kannada actor Samyukta Hornad recently visited the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Centre run by Wildlife SOS on the outskirts of Bengaluru to extend her support and spread awareness about sloth bears in India.

Samyukta, who is also an animal welfare advocate, spent time with rescued sloth bears at the centre, interacted with animal keepers and assisted them in feeding the animals. She also visited the green kitchen and interacted with veterinarians and other staff members.

The centre, located amid the lush greenery and rocks of the dry-deciduous Bannerghatta Biological Park, houses 77 rescued bears and is the world's second largest rescue centre for sloth bears.
