<p>The students of MVJ International School, Marathahalli, East Bengaluru, held a protest against Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Tuesday over the dumping of garbage in front of the school.</p>.<p>According to the students, this was posing serious health hazards to them and there was also traffic congestion.</p>.<p>“The school is facing serious problems due to garbage and a cowshed compost pit near the school,” said a staff from the school.</p>.<p>“Also traffic jams delay students reaching school on time,” she added.</p>.<p>Over 300 students, staff and parents took out a march from the school to Marathahalli BBMP office. They met Mehaboob, health inspector of the BBMP and submitted a memorandum. The officer assured the students to look into the matter.</p>.<p>“The health of some students has been affected due to the garbage heap and cowshed. The continues honking by vehicles disturb the class as well,” said a student.</p>.<p>Another staff said: “The school authority had raised the issue with the BBMP and the traffic police multiple times but no action was taken.”</p>
