Two held for shooting bizman in Koramangala

Probing a case of attempt to murder of a businessman, the Koramangala police arrested two sharpshooters on Sunday.

The suspects have been identified as Vibhuti Kumar Singh (58) and Suraj Bannusingh (26), belonging to Hasanpur village in Bihar.

According to sources, the 54-year-old city-based businessman, Kanhaiyalal Agarwal, was shot at by three unidentified men at his office in Raheja Arcade, Koramangala. The trio, equipped with guns, had barged into his office and fired three rounds at Agarwal and fled from the scene.

Agarwal is the director of Farm India Impex Pvt Ltd, a firm dealing with the purchase of agricultural produce from various parts of the country for selling it to the poultry industry.

Agarwal, who was profusely bleeding, was immediately rushed to hospital and underwent a surgery. While recovering, Agarwal filed a complaint with the police.

A senior officer attached with the Koramangala police said: “We are on the lookout for another person and are also probing further to ascertain whether the gang had more members.”
