A 27-year-old man was hacked to death by two unidentified miscreants near a bar in Nagarbhavi, west Bengaluru, on Thursday night.
The police suspect the murder of Raghu S, an autorickshaw driver and a resident of Mallathahalli, which happened at 11.45 pm before a bar in NGEF Layout near Nagarbhavi, could have been the result of a sudden provocation as the people involved did not know each other before.
Raghu and his two assailants had drunk in the bar and had brawled outside the joint. The two men stabbed Raghu with their daggers in the abdomen and fled the scene. People walking by the spot alerted the police, who rushed Raghu to hospital. Doctors declared the auto driver brought dead.
The Jnanabharathi police have registered a murder case and are investigating further. “We’ve obtained clues about the accused from the CCTV footage. We’ve formed a team to nab the killers,” West Division DCP Ravi Channannavar said.
