The concert started out with a Carnatic vocal by Suman G, whose mellifluous rendition of bhajans set the appropriate mood for the musical evening. Suman started her concert with a composition by Muthuswami Dikshitar in Navaragamalika Varnam and went on to sing many popular bhajans by the same composer.

Her deep voice added a new dimension to the devotional music and was enjoyed by the audience. She was accompanied on violin by Vasuki Parimala and on mrudangam by H S Venkatesh.

But it was when K M Krishna took the stage for yet another power-packed Carnatic vocal with his accompaniments, the evening took a new pace. The audience thoroughly enjoyed his breathtaking performance that was fresh and soulful.

He opened his concert with an elaborate presentation of a Rama stuthi,  ‘Ramachandra Samrakshito’ and sang many popular bhajans like ‘Sujana Jeevana Rama’ composed by   Muthuswami Dikshitar.

Krishna did not  disappoint his audience and responded well to their requests.
