BJP to parade MLAs before Prez

Last Updated 11 October 2010, 16:32 IST

The parade is being organised to disprove the Governor’s claim in his report to the Home Ministry that 120 legislators had opposed the ruling BJP government.

“We will parade all our 105 MLAs before the President to prove that the Governor’s report is misleading and factually wrong ,” BJP state unit President K S Eshwarappa said after a meeting of BJP legislature party.

While Eshwarappa said the Governor was “acting like Leader of Opposition”, party National General Ananth Kumar dubbed Bhardwaj as partisan and sought his recall.

The BJP MLAs, MLCs, MPs and office-bearers will leave for New Delhi by a special flight from Bangalore at 7 am. The delegation is also likely to meet the Prime Minister and Home Minister the same day.

The BJPLP also felt that the Governor cannot dwell on the disqualification issue as the matter is before the High Court.
