Azad said Congress was not behind the BJP rebels and reminded that earlier also such desertions had happened in the saffron party which includes 50 MLAs camping in Hyderabad a year ago after being unhappy with their party."The vote of confidence should take place on the floor of the House. Unfortunately, the Chief Minister has not done that. The MLAs were disqualified before the vote against law," Azad told reporters here."Whatever the Assembly Speaker has done is wrong. If the government says that they have won the vote of confidence, it is totally wrong and a farce," he said.He said the Speaker has no right to disqualify any MLA for any activity outside the Assembly. "It is for the party president to take action and the Speaker's role comes into play when a member violates the whip," he said.
