Ex-MLA booked for assault

 Lakshmipuram police had booked assault case against former MLA E Maruthirao Pawar also chairman of Manaranjana Dasara Sub-committee, office-bearersRamesh, Narasimhamurthy, Jagadish and two others. Rajesh Padwani of Bangalore who had bagged the contract of selling tickets to Manranjana Dasara at Maharaja College grounds had allegedly raised objection to allow the friends of those in the sub-committee to VIP gallery for the live concert of Sonu Nigam. This led to a high drama with the both the parties  indulging in a scuffle. Rajesh knocked the doors of the police station accusing MLA and his supporters of assaulting him. Pawar has also lodged  a complaint alleging atrocity.
