Deprived youth become entrepreneurs

The unit named a Echo-Choco Ice Cream Parlour, located in Kamanahalli, opposite to BSNL is a project exclusively managed by the youth of Echo.

Boost to confidence

After rehabilitation of these boys by way of training and regular counselling they are now filled with confidence to start with confidence to start this ice cream parlour along with chaats and juice. 

The objective of this project is to make these youth self-reliant. The profits of this business will be used for improving the youth’s welfare programmes. The surplus funds will be ploughed back into their own business for expanding the projects on a larger scale by opening other outlets in various parts of the City.

Echo, Empowerment of Children and Human Rights Organisation, is an Non-Governmental Organisation with its units in Kamanahalli, Sumanahalli, Madiwala, Lingarajapuram in the city. The NGO also has a unit in Mysore. It has initiated and is now monitoring and helping implementation of Juvenile Justice Act 2000.
