JOIN USAs many as 1,500 artistes in 75 troupes of different Konkani dialects from around the world will take part in the 25-day international cultural festival.
Film, food, youth, art, poetry festivals along with competitions in traditional sports, costumes and cuisines will be held to mark the occasion.
The second Global Konkani Music Awards and the sixth Kalaakaar Puraskaar will be awarded during the event.
President Pratibha Patil will be the chief guest for the ‘Vishwa Konkani Ekta Divas’ to be observed at TMA Pai Convention Hall on December 9. The 25 Konkani organisations from around the world which have enriched Konkani culture in their region will be honoured.
A reception committee of eminent persons under the chairmanship of NRI entrepreneur Ronald Colaco has been constituted. Goa Chief Minister of Goa Digamber V Kamat will also take part in the event, said Mandd Sobhann Gurkaar Eric Ozario at a press meet.
