The convicts are Seena, Ishwarappa and Pavan Kumar. Seena was a worker at a farm house owned by Rayappa of Chokkanahalli in Bangalore North taluk.
He conspired with Ishwarappa and Pavan Kumar and hacked Rayappa to death on February 14, 2009. The trio fled collecting Rayappa’s jewellery and Rs 2,000.
The Bagalur police arrested them and submitted a charge sheet to the court. B M Karjol was the public prosecutor in the case and Judge H Ramu gave the verdict.
The accused were charged with offences under IPC Sections 302 (murder), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), and 34 (common intention).
