<p>Jaya Prada, who has done several hit films for K C Bokadia, has signed a new film with him. This film showcases the journey of a woman from her youth to old age. Jaya Prada, who is currently busy canvassing for elections says, “The role he has offered me is giving me a graph where I can really flaunt my artistic ability to a perfect T. This film will show me as a young woman moving into an older age. The character I am playing<br /> is a very strong woman. She stands on her convictions, has a very strong personality and fights for what is right.” <br /><br />When asked why she is not seen so often on screen, she replies, “Because of my <br />involvement in politics. Plus the offers coming my way were not really worth taking the trouble for. I did not want to do a film just to be seen. I have been doing more of <br />regional films. My Bengali-Hindi bilingual film with Buddhadeb Dasgupta is ready. Sharad Hegde’s The Desire — Journey of a Woman, in which I play Shilpa Shetty’s mother is <br />being readied for release.” The lady plays an Odissi danseuse in The Desire. <br /><br />Jaya Prada has worked with Bokadia in films such as Aaj Ka Arjun opposite Amitabh Bachchan, Main Tera Dushman and Insaf Kaun Karega along with Jackie Shroff; Kundan, Ganga Tere Desh Mein, Zulm-O-Sitam and Maidan-E-Jung with Dharmendra and <br />Tyaagi with Rajnikant.</p>
