This is clear violation of rules pertaining to reservation of constituencies, he added.
Addressing a news conference here, he said he has come to know that the meetings pertaining to reservation were being fixed in houses of legislators. The State government was doing ‘vengeance’ politics even in reservation.

It has come to his notice that the government is planning reservation of all five zilla panchayat constituencies that come in his Assembly constituency. In fact, there are clear guidelines for fixing reservation and he has procured a copy of the same.

“My demand is to fix reservation based on population and it should be announced keeping in view reservation done five years ago”.

Threatens dharna

Revanna also threatened to hold a protest in front of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa who will be participating in the function to distirbute sarees for the beneficiaries of Bhagyalakshmi scheme, in Hassan on November 11, if the government failed to release funds for all incomplete projects before November 9.

The government should clear the dues of contractors as the construction of medical college, hospital building, engineering college, two nursing colleges and agricultural sciene college, has come to a standstill.

First the government should release the funds to ensure that all the pending projects were completed on time. The JD(S) did not have any objection to check the quality of construction. In fact, the quality of these constructions was better than other structures.
This has been certified by a government agency. All the legislators, former legislators and MPs would stage a dharna in the CM’s programme on November 11 if their demands were not met.

The JD(S) leadr said the government owes Rs 80 crore to medical college and Rs 15 crore to engineering college. Both the projects need to be given administrative approval.
Letters written to the authorities and ministers concerned listing out demand, have not been replied. The district has seen three district-in-charge ministers in last three years. Acquisition of land for the much-ambitious Bangalore-Hassan-Mangalore railway line has not stated. Crores of rupees given by the World Bank for repair of roads have been used to repair roads of Shimoga. Nobody knows what has happened to proposal submitted to build seven fly overs in Hassan.
