Crafted from platinum, these four pieces are amongst the best jewellery works from around the world. These pieces were displayed together for the first time in Bangalore at a City hotel recently. Titled Rivers of Life, the collection consisted of four aqua-themed platinum pieces — Aqua from Italy, Jiang from China, Shibuki from Japan and Iraja from India. The gorgeous Indian piece, Iraja, is from Ganjam.

As models walked the ramp showcasing these four beautiful neckpieces, one couldn’t help but admire the beauty and intricacy of these pieces. Heavy and full of bling, these pieces were classy and graceful at the same time. Said Vaishali Banerjee, Manager — India, PGI, “It is an honour to be associated with Ganjam and our association has been at an international level. The brand has kept the Indian tradition alive.” She explained that water being associated with platinum by consumers worldwide became the central theme of these pieces. “We are thrilled to reach out to you with these pieces that defy all norms of craftsmanship and technique, yet guarding the purity, rarity and versatility of this precious metal.”

Umesh Ganjam, the Joint Managing Director of Ganjam, was also present at the occasion. He said, “Platinum has many attributes and due its sheen, it cannot be compared to any other metal. It gives a delight that no other metal can give. It’s a premium metal in the international context and we are pleased to say that this is what India is contributing to the world of platinum.” He added, “We have been exploring this wonderful element’s precious qualities in creative and imaginative ways for over a decade now and have produced individual collections and Iraja, the iconic piece commissioned by the PGI.”
