Except for the signature of Reserve Bank Governor D Subbarao, the design of these notes to be issued now is similar in all respects to the bank notes in Mahatma Gandhi Series with additional new and security features issued earlier.
All banknotes in the denomination of Rs.Five issued by the bank in the past will continue to be legal tender, a RBI release said here today.
