Speaking with the mediapersons on Friday, Poojary said that Sudarshan has made a serious allegation against Sonia Gandhi by calling her a ‘CIA agent’ who plotted the assassination of her mother-in-law India Indira Gandhi and husband Rajiv Gandhi.

“Understanding the seriousness of the comment RSS should have expelled Sudarshan out of the Sangh Parivar folds and upheld the principles of RSS of respecting women. If the organisation had done this then people of the country would have respected it,” said Poojary.

“Nehru family had fought for India’s independence and it was Nehru who laid the foundation for modern India. Does making baseless allegation against a woman hailing from such a prestigious family bring honour to RSS and BJP?”he questioned.

Poojary, citing examples of the recent cases of involvement of RSS members Sadhwi Prajna Singh and Indresh Kumar in anti-national activities, opined that these cases clearly show that RSS is deviating from its original cause and principles.

“Instead of supporting the authorities to continue their probe, RSS is staging protests against the UPA government for filing cases against its members who are allegedly involved in anti-social activities. Since the police had all the proof, they had arrested Sadhwi Prajna Singh and Indresh Kumar. If RSS feels that they are innocent, then they can prove their innocence in the court of law,” he added.

He said RSS need not make hue and cry against UPA government for initiating action against Sadhwi Prajna Singh, Indresh Kumar.

When there was allegation against Maharashtra CM on his involvement in Adarsh housing scam, Congress party asked him to step down from the post and proved its integrity, said Poojary adding that if RSS is true to its, then it should have asked Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and other ministers to step down when there was allegations of corruption levelled against them. “Instead of asking them to step down, RSS is supporting their activities,”Poojary said
