Last Updated 21 November 2010, 18:07 IST

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he claimed that the government has not built a single house for the flood-affected people of north Karnataka region, though it promised to construct 63,000 houses. Failure to construct nine lakh Ashraya houses in three years, and Rs 8,000 crore owed to contractors show the financial status of the Government,  he said.

Yeddyurappa was engaged in “saree” politics, even as the promises of giving 25 kg rice to the poor every month and three-phase power supply to farmers have remained unfulfilled.

Karnataka is in the second place in implementing the 20-point programme of the Union Government, but leaders misleading the people, claiming that the State was in the second position in development, whereas it was in the seventh place according to the Planning Commission, he said. Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Jagadish Shettar too was involved in the KIADB land scam, he said, promising to release the documents soon.

Addressing the Congress party workers at the residence of Anilkumar Patil here, Siddaramaiah asked them to be prepared to make the State free from BJP, as Yeddyurappa has proved that BJP is not only a communal party but a corrupt party also.
