Students of APS College flaunt themselves in different attires. And these range from

kurtis to salwars and jeans to casual wear. The girls look beautiful in their simple outfits. Ask them why they choose to be simple and they say ‘simple living, high thinking’ is what they follow.

On kurtis, Mala K, a first year M Com student says, “They look fashionable and trendy and are very comfortable for college. They are affordable too.”

“Kurtis are in vogue today and I can mix and match them according to my preference. They are available in different hues and designs. I can wear them with jeans as well as leggings, chudi bottom or patiala. I like short kurtis as they look great on patiala and jeans.

I can also wear them with different coloured stoles,” adds Apoorva, another M Com student. Some of the girls are also seen in traditional wear like saris. “It gives a very ethnic and traditional look. I love  wearing saris and matching them with metal and glass bangles for they enhance the beauty of a woman,” says Pushpa D C, a post-graduate student.

When asked where they pick up their accessories and clothes from, the unanimous reply is, “We usually buy it from Gandhi Bazaar, fourth block or the complexes in Banashankari. We also buy them from the pavements as  there is variety and they don’t exceed our pocket money. We can easily manage to get four to five clothes for a reasonable price,” they say.

The guys are usually dressed in casuals. Anand, a commerce student, says, “Jeans makes a great style statement. Moreover, they are available in every corner of Bangalore, it’s not necessary to buy branded stuff. Even the t-shirts are available for a throw-away price.’’

When it comes to watches, the boys prefer branded items since they are reliable. “We prefer branded watches since it has a longer durability and there is guarantee. Although they are a little expensive, we don’t mind paying for them because of the good quality,’’ they say.

“After we get into our professional lives, it is just impossible to wear jeans since we have to follow a dress code. College days are the best days as one is free to wear what one wants as long as it is decent. Apart from the comfort factor, it is really cool to wear jeans and t-shirts since they make you feel young,” adds Babu V, an M Com student.
