Expedite work on Rangamandira: DC

Speaking at a review meeting, he expressed displeasure over the progress of Rangamandira work at Bondel.

He directed Tahsildar to conduct a survey of the land at Bondel. About nine acre land will be required for the construction of Rangamandira. Kannada and Culture department officials should submit the survey report by Wednesday. The project blue print should be prepared at the earliest. The Rangamandira project got delayed owing to various reasons in the last 20 years. The Rangamandira committee meeting should be convened to finalise the blueprint, he added.

Reviewing the work on synthetic track at Mangala Stadium, he took the officials to task over the progress of the work. A discussion with the sports personnel who visit the stadium will give a clear cut picture of the problems being faced in the stadium, he said.

NMPT Engineer said that a sum of Rs 51.03 lakh has been released for the work on vehicle parking and other facilities for tourists at Panambur beach. A sum of Rs 76.80 lakh has been released for the development of Tannirbhavi beach. The work is entrusted to Nirmithi Kendra. The work on pathway, landscape, garden, lighting, recreation fencing, supply of water, borewell, parking, toilets are under progress. A sum of Rs 76.80 lakh has been released for the development of Someshwar beach. He said that if the concerned authorities show negligence towards the work on Yathri Nivas at Kateel Temple, then the funds will be taken back.
