Reddys plan coup against BSY

Soon after the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy is said to have told a section of his ministerial colleagues that it was only a matter of time before Yeddyurappa would be forced to step down.

“Nitin Gadkari might have succeeded temporarily in saving Yeddyurappa, but I will unseat him from the Chief Minister’s post,” Reddy is said to have told his close associates.

Reddy is understood to be unhappy with the Chief Minister playing the Lingayat card for his survival during the recent crisis.

Besides, Reddy has accused Yeddyurappa of leaking the “Ashok Sharma CD” to the media. The CD, aired by TV channels recently, purportedly shows Reddy striking a deal a self-proclaimed power broker identified as Ashok Sharma to unseat Yeddyurappa.

Reddy is keen that Health Minister B Sriramulu be made Deputy Chief Minister, and his close associates Raju Gowda and Varthur Prakash be inducted into the Cabinet.
