Actress Sanjjanaa is on cloud nine. She has just completed the first shooting schedule of the Telugu movie Dushasana opposite Srikanth.

She plays the chief minister’s daughter in this political drama, directed by Posani Krishna Murali, the maker of the super hit movie Operation Dhuryodhana.

“Posani is known for his realistic movies. My role in this movie is more or less similar to what Katrina had played in Raajneeti. Though the film has a lot to do with politics, my character also has glamourous side,” reveals Sanjjanaa.

However, Sanjjanaa is a bit worried about the fate of her Malayalam project Casanova with Mohanlal. “I already shot for Casanova in Dubai. But now, the makers are asking me to give 20 days at a stretch. These dates are clashing with the dates I have given for Dushasana. I don’t want to miss out on any of these projects as both are important to me. So I want to sort things out in an amicable way,” she says.

Unfortunately, due to clashing dates, Sanjjanaa missed out on a Kannada film too. “I was shortlisted for Darshan’s Chingari. But by that time, I had already signed Dushasana. So I could not accept Chingari as the dates were clashing.”

In Sandalwood itself, Sanjjanaa has four releases lined up including Shivarajkumar’s Mylari. “Mylari was a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to work with Shivarajkumar and working with director Chandru was also one of my ambitions.

Apart from that, I have E Sanje with newcomer Arya, I Am Sorry and one more film with Nenapirali Prem. So the next year will be a rocking one for me,” she exclaims.
Sanjjanaa claims she is not interested in Bollywood at all as her motto is to rule the South in the years to come.

“I am almost a queen here so why eye something else? I have so many dreams from South that I want to fulfill. I am dying to work with Puneeth as I started watching Kannada movies only because of him. He is marvellous on screen. Apart from him, directors — Yograj Bhat, Suri and Prem — are also on my wishlist,” Sanjjanaa says.
